The efforts of these hard-working scouts are truly amazing!
Stephen Sessions raised nearly $8,000 over the course of his Eagle project by selling Wall Brothers’ Apples, and approaching businesses and individuals for donations. The majority of this money was used for painting and wall-finishing supplies for the Nurturing Nations School, as well as the guard house on the site. Stephen participated in the final humanitarian trip of Summer 2017, overseeing the painting and texturing of the walls himself and giving direction to the other volunteers. We at Nurturing Nations are truly amazed by Stephen’s hard work and his dedication to giving children of all abilities in Ghana a place to receive an education. Providing education is one of Nurturing Nation’s primary objectives because of the life-changing possibilities it brings into a child’s life.
Nick Jeffery sold cinnamon rolls he made himself to raise money to purchase items for school/hygiene kits. Nick was able to make over 300 kits. He was able to distribute these kits himself when he visited Ghana this past summer as part of a humanitarian group. The simple, every-day items included in these kits will go far in helping the children who received them with the necessities of life.
Thank you Nick and Stephen!
